last time I did my immigration check, in person, it was done in 15 minutes. I have never been able to get the app to work.

Here, in Thailand. Scooters are call motorcycles.. Motorcycles are called big bikes.

License are not strictly necessary for scooters (motorcycle/s). I have been driving them six or seven years and haven't had any issues. However... I am sure the law maybe requires a license? I am not sure. People drive them anyway. On occasion you will get stopped and have to pay a fine (or tea money). That will happen to you to you for being a foreigner anyway. Fine in Pattaya is $15/US.

If you feel like being a rebel and getting a motorcycle license (scooter) AND you are unable to get a Motorcycle license in the US, your only other option is to get it here.

I went to the school near Bankok Hospital in Pattaya. The school is on the Northwest corner of North Road and Sukhumvit.

I am not really sure if it was 'renew' or not. It seems like it was renew. I have pre-existing license from USA so I think it was more like they transferred. From what I understand driving school can be a big deal. In my case I was supposed to watch a video. I guess the schools systems were broke or something because they only required that I sign in/out.. one hour apart.

If it were a new license I think they are not issuing those at this time. My US motorcycle license is expired and they wouldn't give me a Thai Motorcycle license. From what I understand I have to take classes and what not (different than watching a video).

They are not issuing new license at this time due to Covid restrictions. They told me come back in July.

My motorcycle license is expired and they would not allow me to get a motorcycle license. I think you would have issues. Maybe an agent can help.

It's not "return flight" but rather 'onward travel'. The big difference is with onward travel you only need to show evidence of intention of leaving Thailand. When I came here from the USA the airline was an either/or deal. Have visa or onward travel.

Although it may not be on option now, I have always used bus tickets. Buy the bus ticket online print the the ticket and show that to anybody who asks (usually people at embassy when applying for visa)

Another option would be to come with no evidence of intention of onward travels. If you get stopped you can purchase a cheap ticket to anywhere. A quick google search show 1 way ticket to Singapore $60/USD.

Of course you will want to allow plenty of time at check-in to Thailand incase you need to make last minute arrangements.

I think someone asked a very similar question recently. I think the conclusion was if the cat is frozen then there should be no issues.
