My wife and I have a 2-year contract rental agreement that expires in April of 2027. We will probably try and find a house to rent after the current agreement expires. My question is there any benefit to my also having a Yellow House book under my wife's family's name other than the benefit of no longer needing a residence certificate. Would this help me to ease the work of getting an extension based on marriage for example. I'm wondering if this could be used as a permanent location if my wife and I choose to change our rental premises from time to time.

I am German and have been in Thailand for four years with an annual visa, I have applied for the yellow home book and should get it next week. I had several problems, I filled out and read all the documents, I needed three witnesses and the mayor. It wasn't so easy and what others write was maybe possible ten years ago but not now.

Hey

I have been struggling with a couple of points and done some research. About do you need a TM 30 if you have a yellow house book. Unfortunately the answer is yes explained

here.

After reading this I followed this link below and found out every time you leave your home to travel around Thailand you will have to redo the TM30 when you get back..

Seems like a lot of reporting to do if like myself I plan to be getting around a lot🤔

This explains the TM30 plainly..

Just retired with TP Gold visa and now getting all the paperwork sorted out for a long term stay

Got 10 year rental agreement for a house and got issued yellow house book and pink id card at the local city administration (Amphur)

Next step is drivers license, need to take a test and get a medical certificate but think the TP visa plus pink id card and yellow book is ok as documentation basis for application

Just one question if anyone should have same issue, my rental agreement and yellow book does not show same address. Owner of the rental house is not very cooperative so relatives of my late wife (I am now single and intend to stay single) organized it on their blue book. It included interview at the Amphur and some paperwork. I was informed at the city office that the 2 addresses don’t have to match as many Thais are registered one place but have actually moved and live/work in another place

Any comment or advice anyone, I was married for 37 years and the wife took care of everything, now I’m on my own and need all the advice I can get

Hi and something slightly different. Does anyone know an agent in Nakon Ratchasima who can process an application for a foreigner to get a Yellow house book in Chackorat. Thanks.

I recently got my Elite visa. I want to ask what I need to do every time I get in. TDAC is for sure. And then the TM30 too? What else?

Does anyone have any experience of getting or trying to get a yellow house book (ท.ร.13) as a DTV holder? Thanks.

I have the DTV, and now want the foreigner ID card. Google tells me I need to have a permanent place of residence in order to apply, but I don't yet have that as im just in a 3 months rental at the moment. Does this rule me out from getting the ID?

Hi folks,

I moved here to Thailand 6 months ago. I've got a non O visa that I will be extending for 1 year based on marriage.

My name is on the title of my wife's and my house and I have just been issued with a Thai I.D. card (pink).

Is anyone able to explain to me the benefits and rights that my Thai I.D. card extends to me?

Sincere thanks in advance for your kind consideration.
