Happens everyday, I don't know a single person that actually had to buy a years policy for the Thaipass. Unfortunately, when you're in the business of selling insurance or getting your advice from insurance agents, the information can be misleading.
"I respectfully disagree with your assertion re RJ" I wasn't making an assertion, I'm stating the reason why he was removed from this group. It happened multiple times, I messaged him about it, and he continued to do so. Furthermore, you don't PM members here to solicit services, 1 of the 2 group rules. He continues to do it here either through fake profiles or from referrals from others here.
This is not a group to ask a question in and be bombarded with solicitations from agents and people selling you things. This group is an UNBIASED platform to ask questions and get advice from, absent of the concern that someone is giving you advice with the intention misleading you to sell something.
Who sells insurance here? There's one agent (RJ) who contented to spread false information (like health insurance was required for every visa) in an attempt to sell unnecessary insurance to people. He was blocked and his services are not allowed to be advertised here. That's it.
Anywhere close to a BTS station ideally, towards the center. Asoke BTS station is what most people consider the center of Sukhumvit, but remember Bangkok is huge so there's a ton of different areas with centers.
This is the hotel I usually like to stay at when I travel back to Bangkok. Sukumvit 24 has a bunch of hotels though all up and down the soi, depending on your budget.
