Yes, the ministry of labor enforces minimum wage requirements for foriegners.

Also, the minimum wage does not apply to teaching positions.

Only difference between a temporary and permanent license renewal is the 1 hour test/video.

You don't need anything. The school might assume you're trying to get them to sponsor you for an ED visa, but if you don't want an ED visa you don't need one.

Chiang Mai is the same, they won't give you any services (cert of residency, 90 day, ext) if you extension is from another province.

It's not a guide either. There was a law in the 1980s that limited tourists to 180 days per calander year, but it hasn't been a law or guide in over 20 years.
