DTV approved in Switzerland 😍

Submitted: March 3rd (6pm)

Approved: March 7th

Type: Soft Power Muay Thai

So in total it just took 3.5 working days, wow

Here is everything I submitted:

Proof of funds: final balance of 500000+ baht (my saving bank account in Switzerland)

including a motivation letter why I would like to do Muay Thai in Thailand and that I understand that I am not allowed to work there

Proof of location:

Booking confirmation of my flight from Switzerland to Thailand

Certificate of domicile (in German: Wohnsitzbestätigung)

Swiss ID Card

and all the documents that I got from my Muay Thai Gym

Thank you all for all the information in this group, really helpful 🙏

Me and my partner were quoted 1700$ USD for a 3 month Muay Thai course in Hua Hin for both of us. Has anyone found cheaper in Hua Hin? And if not, how about Bangkok? We will be flying Into Bangkok initially.

Also! Do we need an exit flight booked in advance?

Appreciate any info! Will be applying at the NY consulate.

Hello! Trying to figure out the best way to come to Thailand on SSDI. I am 35 years old. I have 85k USD in savings and get 3k a month. Can I go the workation route? I'm scared that if I go the Muay Thai or learning to cook route. It will get back to Social Security and I will lose it. Appreciate any guidance on the matter!

Hi Guys !!! Did anyone apply for the “Muay Thai Soft Power" recently in Cambodia? I heard that many people that tried got their DTV cancelled due of a missing document "Of The Ministry Of Sports” which is impossible to get‼️

I’m currently in Cambodia! If anyone has some news and could share I would be really happy!

Hi everyone,

I have a serious (but slightly funny) question. I’ve been following หมอลำ (Mor Lam) for quite some time and love going to concerts all over Isaan. I take lots of photos, enjoy the atmosphere, and over the years, I’ve even gotten to know some of the big troupe leaders personally. It’s really become a big part of my life here 🎤🎶

Lately, I’ve been wondering… would this kind of cultural involvement be enough for a DTV Visa? I mean, Mor Lam is a huge part of Thailand’s soft power, and I’m definitely committed and can proof it as well —I even thought about trying to sing and learn it myself (not saying it would sound good, but hey, I’d give it a shot!).

Or maybe I should go for the Muay Thai DTV instead? Some Mor Lam concerts do have fights on the side—planned or not—so maybe that counts as cross-training? 😆

Would love to hear your thoughts. Has anyone heard of a case like this before?

Thanks in advance! 😊

Hello everyone, I have a question relating to DTV visa. One of the possibilities to get this Visa is a participation on a soft power activities ,

such as Muay Thai courses, Thai cooking classes, sports training, medical treatment, seminars or music festivals.

My question is:

what is a participation on medical treatment? Does this mean you get the medical treatment or you learn that medical treatment?

I am confused because in all other activities like Muay Thai courses, Thai cooking classes, sports training you will act as a learner.

I am thankful for any clarification.

Thank you

Hi guys, I'm currently in Thailand and would like to go overseas to apply for the DTV visa via the soft power route (Muay Thai boxing). I’d like to know which Thai embassy is easiest to grant this visa to Chinese nationals. If you have some good info or relevant experiences, please comment. Thanks a lot for your help in advance!
