Fly is your best option. Cheap same day flights to most countries, HK and KL I'd recommend.

I flew to Hong Kong last month from chiang mai and didn't have to check in at the desk, downloaded my boarding pass and made it to the gate. They did manually check me at the gate though. Could be country specific.

Thanks guys, figured it out. I wasn't putting the first letter of my middle name on my first name (since my first name and my middle name are 2 different fking things). Summited the lookup with just my last name and it found the booking. Aaaand flight delayed 45 mintues, cnx-bkk
