Everyone entering the country needs 20k baht or the equivalent currency in cash. It's rarely asked for, but it is a requirment and it's the most common reason for refused entry.

Law requires a TM30 to be submitted for every forigner in Thailand staying at any address more than 24 hours, within 24 hours of their arrival reguardless of immigration or property status (even if you own the house, you need to submit a tm30 within 24 hours).

Overstays under 72 hours don't prohibit you from obtaining the elite visa. 73 hours you probably won't be approved, depends which side of 3 days you're on.
