At which point should a TM30 be filed (Pattaya), for a visa exempt tourist that will convert to a retirement visa.
Another post mentioned that Pattaya immigration was not asking for it.
My concern is when the retirement visa application get submitted, there could be a problem or at the very least a fine if their system shows there is no tm30 on file for the CURRENT address; for which I have signed a contract this past Friday.
TLDR : Answer Summary
A TM30 should be filed within 24 hours of arrival at any location in Thailand, regardless of whether you're a tourist or a resident. It's especially important when converting to a retirement visa, as Pattaya immigration may check for a TM30 during application processes. Some users have noted that Pattaya immigration can be challenging, so it's advisable to file the TM30 promptly to avoid any potential issues or fines later on. Additionally, TM30 filing can be done online according to some responses.
