Possibly office dependent but from a two to five year license you don’t need to do that video and get the QR code to show that you’ve watched it. In Phang Nga you needed to do it going from a five year renewal but not from a two to five year one.
You can indeed do so within Thailand. Except the requirements to do so are generally beyond the norms of what most companies can provide. We are talking of mountains of paperwork. Most wont or can’t provide all that’s needed.
If your company setup allows it then all well and good. The majority can’t.
I’m sorry that you can’t comprehend that an immigration office realises that foreigners can help out at their office to liaise with other foreigners to help easing the process of what they may need to do at an immigration office.
We volunteer to mitigate the process of what’s required and help those in need of services as to what may be required.
I’m sorry that you find it way too hard to believe that either people are willing to do that or that the Thai authorities allow it. Except it happens. Whether you can believe it or not it does.
I work at immigration in Phuket. I know their policy regarding TM30s. They require a new filing if you’ve stayed in a hotel or hospital - or anywhere that may have “overwritten” your previous filing. As stated it’s office specific.
That’s going to be between you your employer and immigration. The majority of companies can’t (or won’t) supply the absolute vast quantities of documentation that immigration would need to issue a in country visa.
Most will provide the relatively sparse amount of documents needed for you to go to a nearby consulate or embassy and apply for the initial Non B there and then deal with yearly extensions as needed.
If you’re on the original visa entry (not on an extension of stay) then just by leaving your visa is cancelled. You don’t need to - nor can you cancel it prior to departure.
That’s office specific. Some don’t need a new TM30 if you return to your same address. Some need a new one every time you return. Others will need a new one if you’ve stayed in a hotel or hospital and return home afterwards.
