What should I consider when asking about short-term visas for Thailand, especially regarding passport nationality?

I’ll pin this post for a while but I’m not sure it’ll help. (Not sure who actually reads the pinned posts).

Almost ALL short term visa/entry related questions can only be answered correctly by knowing your passport country. Without knowing what that is it’s just speculation (and quite often wrong answers are given).

When posting a question please ensure you include your passport country.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post emphasizes that short-term visa questions for Thailand require knowledge of the individual's passport country for accurate answers. It encourages users to include their passport nationality when posting in order to receive correct information, as responses without this detail often lead to speculation and misinformation. The conversation includes appreciation for the page administrators and a specific inquiry about obtaining a tourist visa for Thailand from Suriname.

Goidday. I am planning to go to holand and in sept to visit some friends from covidtime in 2020 in bangkok. I have a paspoort from Suriname. I like to know if I can enter Thailand and at the airport pay for a entry visit visa for 14 days. If not possible I have to get my visa in denhaag. What do I need then to have for applying for a visa for 14 days

you’d have to apply for a tourist visa for entering Thailand. You’d need to check your closest Thai embassy or consulate’s website for their requirements. Each has generally different rules.

I will try in den haag when I get there. Brasil is to far and the paspoort stays tolong for be returned

I need to find a way to monetise the amount of times I write “what is your passport country”. Then I might get a life 😀

You, and the other Admins, do an amazing job on this page answering questions. Sometimes they are the most involved, and difficult, ones to help people. Kudos to All. 👍👍👍
