February holidays.

Please note that February 26th is a public holiday and immigration offices around the country will be closed that day.

Land borders or airports are not affected.

Plan accordingly.

TLDR : Answer Summary
February 26th is a public holiday in Thailand, so immigration offices will be closed nationwide. However, land borders and airports will remain operational. It's advisable for expats to plan their activities considering this holiday.

Thailand could probably boost their economy just by cutting national holidays in half. 5555

umm, people spend more money on days off than they do on the days they work, and spending boosts the economy.

productivity does too.

days off has nothing to do with productivity in relation to economic growth. Efficiency in production contributes to economic growth by increasing efficiency in the same given time frame, not by working longer hours. If you become more efficient by making 150 items an hour instead of the 100 you were making before in that same hour, that is an economic growth in productivity, not by working an extra 4 hours to produce the 50 product increase. Time off from work has no bearing on economic productivity.
