I know there are a few threads on this but has anyone had any luck opening a bank account in Bangkok on a DTV visa? Iā€™ve tried every chain in different locations but no luck as yet. Have heard some places do accept it though. Thanks!

Hi

Many people here say that they do the TM30 themselves. Some posted that they use the TM30 online portal or TM30.io.

The TM30 form is for landlords.

A guest can do it probably when he show some documents from the landlord (copy of ID, Household registration book (Tabien Baan), letter of autorisation).

Filling out the form on your or landlord's name (autorisated by landlord's letter?

And how does it work online?

According the link below only landlords can register TM30 online.

[members only]

Can one of those who say they did the TM30 online explain how this is possible as a guest.

Do you register on your name as a giving authorization person?

Are landlords are willing to give guests an autorisation letter?

Thank you.

Now that there are more and more reports on the Internet about difficulties in applying for the DTV, perhaps something uplifting: the approval by the Royal Thai Embassy in Berlin, Germany was ā€œpainlessā€.

The requirements were exactly as described by the embassy on their website:

- Scan front and back of identity card

- Scan data page passport

- Planned outbound and return flight date and flight number outbound flight

- Current passport photo

- Accommodation details

- Scan of bank statement showing a balance of at least 500,000 baht

- Scan of business registration

2 documents were not of the required quality and had to be exchanged. That was it.

In other words: at least in my case, I can only say thank you for the quick and correct work of the embassy.

I wish everyone else the same luck.

Anybody applied DTV visa from Singapore? Online or in-person visit to embassy? . Singaore website [[members only]) does not have DTV option to choose. Does anyone know if we should choose the 'Others' option, manually enter 'DTV' in the text box, and submit all documents? But how do we make the payment?

After submission, without confirmation that this is for the DTV visa, the website may not provide a payment option. This case should i need to go embassy with passport and make payment and submit passport and relevant documents?

Please advise if anyone has applied for the DTV from Singapore.

hi! (uk passport holder) so mid april - may i arrived on 30 days, extended by 30 but had 2 days overstay & paid the fine (local immigration closed & i had to travel to the nearest one), then did cambodia for 30days, and came back to thailand for another 30. im now doing 45 days in vietnam and plan to return to thailand so i can be there for november & christmas, but want to stay as long as possible. what is the earliest date i can return? assuming i need to do 1 more country before i can return, if im wanting to be there for christmas time, and with the 60days on arrival, does this mean you can extend it to 90? thank you! šŸ™šŸ™

Flew in today to chiang mai with my DTV which I got in Taipei yesterday. Here are some notes to help others who are looking to get the DTV in Taipei:

- I have a US passport

- It cost me 11,000 TWD (had to pay in TWD)

- I got the visa the same day I applied

- I was called some hours after I submitted and asked to submit an extra document

- A total of 22 non-thai showed up for visas (of all varieties). I know its 22 because the monitor that shows the queue number remained at 22 when I went to pick up at 5pm

- The staff spoke English and noted that they were interested in me passing. I say this to express that they are helpful and present

- Documents I used:

- A cover letter with bullet points of the what financial pages are being submitted

- 3 different bank statements showing current balance. They noted that they cared mostly about the the statement I had that said CURRENT BALANCE. In other words, previous months is not as interesting. But I would put it in again anyways

- A recent pay slip

- A cover letter with bullet points of the what work evidence is being submitted

- Articles of organization of my llc

- company's EIN (this is the document they requested)

- Some pages from two active contracts to prove I have work

- Visa application form (with a 2 inch passport photo glued. The form says to use 3.2cm but the online guide says to use 2 inch)

- Copy of passport biopage

- Every page I submitted was signed
