Happy Songkran to all!!

I recently posted here about the reentry permit. Since my flight was early in the morning, the reentry counter was empty, and it took me about 5 minutes to complete the process.

Now that I am back in Thailand, does my 90-day notification period start from the day I got stamped in?

Thank you in Advance.

Early warning. There are no public holidays in March so immigration offices will be open as usual Monday till Friday. However come April there are several holidays. Monday April 8th is a substitute date for Chakri day and offices will be closed.

Songkran holidays will be from Friday April 12th until Tuesday April 16th. Offices will be closed during those dates.

Depending on the office you use they will generally be manic prior and after these closure dates. If you can avoid using them during these times then it’s well advised to do so.

Land borders or airports are not affected by public holidays.

Plan accordingly.

Heads up for April immigration office closures.

Thursday 6th April closed for Chakri Memorial Day.

Thursday 13 - Monday 17th (inclusive) closed due to Songkran.

Many offices will be manic on Tuesday the 18th after being closed for 5 days so try to avoid if you possibly can.

Airports and land borders operate as normal during these times.

I hope to arrive in HH on April 9th. The one thing I did not consider Song Kran. I was going to take the week to arrange a bank account and visit Immigration. I know the festival officially is 3 days but, when i lived in HH 5 years ago it seemed to last longer than 3 days. Can anyone give me a guess on when it will actually start and finish (banks/Immigration)

Hello everyone. I got a 60+30 days tourist visa.

60 days are almost gone and I need to get the last 30 days. Before covid I was used to cross in Mae sai border and get the stamp.

Does anybody know if that border is open?

If not, is it easy to do it in Chiang Mai immigration?

Anything I need to know if I should do it in this way?

Such as, if there are still long queues?, better going a day before expiration date?

Do I need a covid test? :/

Can't find anything online.

Thank you in advance 🙏 and happy songkran!

I’m travelling from ko lanta to khao sok (ratchaprapha dam) on 11th April and need to be there for 11:30am so it will be an early start. Then khao sok to donsak pier for samui 13th April.

I can’t find and don’t expect there to be any way of hiring a car with pick up in ko lanta and drop off near donsak, so looking at taxis.

I’ve seen taxis on 12go for 4600 baht for the 11th April trip and 2500 for 13th April. Would you recommend using this site or are there better ways of booking, speaking to the hotel etc?

Thanks
