I have no idea where that infographic came from. If it’s AI generated then it’s a case of it getting it wrong.

If you’re denied entry then you return from where you came from.

If you’re deported you return to your home country. No ifs or buts about where you’d prefer to go.

Like all countries that have this there will be kiosks at arrivals to allow you to fill one in.

The queue for the kiosks maybe huge. No one knows as it’s not in place yet.

It’s not boring at all but it’s expensive AF to do the more exciting stuff - like living in general

Because that’s not how the system works. If you are denied entry you are sent back to your point of origin, regardless of where you may want to go.

Like many things to do with Thai visa’s terminology is key. People use a certain phrase which doesn’t actually mean what they are referring to.

I haven’t read the thread you’re referring to but he may not have been calling you a liar. He may have stated the fact that you weren’t “deported”. You were refused entry.

If you’re so touchy about words or terminology then perhaps this group isn’t for you. We get pedantic over terminology because it matters immensely.

FFS you weren’t deported. You were refused entry. An entirely different thing.

They may have used the words “deported” because they sent you back to Singapore but you would have no stamp in your passport because of that nor would you be blacklisted to enter Thailand via some other means (preferably with a visa).

That isn’t true. There is no 5 times rule. There is no rule. It’s up to the immigration officer to decide. It could be your second time trying visa exempt or your tenth time.

Oh man. There’s so much wrong with your story. Royal Thai Embassy’s issue visas to allow you to enter Thailand but with the caveat that it’s at the discretion of the Royal Thai Police (Immigration Division).

One is not the “boss” of the other.

Having a visa does not guarantee entry in to Thailand. What it does is allow you to stay for X number of days IF immigration grant you permission to enter.

You mentioned something about a visa extension. That expired the second you left Thailand unless you had some re-entry permit off the back of it but as you were entering visa exempt that’s a moot point.
Stuart *********
No. Only applies if you enter on May 1st or later.

@Crispus ********
No. But it’s up to an individual immigration officer to allow you entry. If they say no can do then there’s f all you can do about it.
