Glad to hear. You are the exception to the norm of what’s happening these days if that’s the case

Only fill in the fields that have a red asterisk. Departure dates are not mandatory so leave them blank. Indeed don’t even click in the boxes otherwise they’ll become mandatory.

If you have a certificate of residence you could try to open a bank account but these days the chances are slim to none without the help of an agent.

Which is better retirement or marriage is debatable. Marriage needs only 400k but way more paperwork and your wife to be with you at each extension. Retirement is 800k but way less paperwork and you can do it yourself without the need for your wife to accompany you.

Yes you can attend a school on any visa type. LTR, Ed visa, visa exempt or whatever.

The school may prefer that they have an Ed visa but it’s not a physical requirement.

Yes. I believe you’re correct on that one. Only office in the country that requires that. I forgot.

Damn. Didn’t see that. I wouldn’t have answered. Coming to Thailand you have to be a Liverpool or Man U supporter……😁

Didn’t see Swiss mentioned anywhere so that why I didn’t mention the income affidavit option

For the initial Non O and the first year extension the 65k per month method won’t work. That will only work for the second and subsequent years. You’ll need a lump sum of 800K and I believe Jomtien require it to be shown as coming from overseas rather than a local transfer.

Getting the bank account will be the issue and almost certainly require an agents help to do so.

Also go to the website of the embassy or consulate you will use and check their requirements. Each have their own requirements and may differ from others’ experience who applied elsewhere

Depends on how long you intend to stay. If just a holiday scenario for less than 60 days then no you don’t.

If you’re intending to stay longer then you possibly do.
