Questions Regarding 1-Year Extension for Non-O Retirement Visa: 🙏🙏
1. Is it mandatory to provide proof of 800,000 THB being transferred from abroad, or is it sufficient to have the 800,000 THB seasoned in a Thai bank account for at least two months before applying for the extension?
2. Is there a processing or waiting period for the visa extension application? If yes, how long does it typically take?
3. Am I allowed to leave Thailand during the consideration period for the visa extension?
Happy new year y’all. Need some educated input. This is regarding the looming deadline for submitting everything for my first-ever Visa 1-year Extension of Stay. My 800,000 seasoning period ends either Fri Feb 28 (will be 60th day) or the following Monday Mar 3 (which will be 63rd day). What are my chances of approval on the Friday? I ask becuz Immigration site says 800,000 must be seasoned 60 full days. Do they strictly enforce? My prob is that by Mar 3rd I’m just 10 days from Non -O expiring. Say I’m on point with all other paperwork for that upcoming date at BKK Immigration (current day’s bank book + Bank letter, TM30 etc) — what are my odds of receiving Extension of Stay in that 10 day window between Immigration Day and expiration of my 90 Day Non-O. As always, you guys are an amazing resource so thank you. If consensus is that 10 days isn’t long enough to achieve the goal, I will be back on here with an interesting question about having a last card to play that I came to possess quite unintentionally.
Hello, I have a question, does anyone have experience with the 800.000 THB for an O-A visa, can you pay this amount in cash into a bank account or do Thai banks cause problems and require the money to come from this amount?
Or can you only pay the amount into your bank account via bank transfer? Thank you very much
I renewed my retirement visa on 28 Nov 2022. Today is 28 Feb 2023, three months later. Does that mean from tomorrow I can dip into the 800,000thb in my Thai bank account (please say 'yes')?
I fell foul of this stipulation when renewing, thinking it was counted as 90 days and want to avoid the same fate next time around.
So just a question about the 800,000 thb needed in the bank, when applying for the lets call it retirement visa. If i have brought into Thailand some of my country's currency, and use the Bank where my account is to exchange the money and place it directly into the account, is that ok?. Or do the records have to show it coming from a foreign bank of mine? Tia.
ok here goes, i want to get a retirement visa this trip to Thailand, I'll be in BKK most of the time, I'm American male 76 years old... what agency should i use, i see several online but never know who to contact, i'd like it to be fast easy for me (and not put the 800,000 in a bank myself) who should i use???
