You can’t do it at the drive through. If more convenient you can also get a re-entry permit at the Patong office or the Blue Tree office.

You can only have one single entry permit at a time. Obviously a multiple re-entry permit will allow unlimited entries until your stamp expires but if not only one single entry per time.

You “can” get the extension in room 101 of the Phuket town office only. Except they don’t know what’s required as yet.
Stuart *********
Yep and Phuket don’t yet know the requirements needed.

The rules are the rules. How the IO chooses to enforce them is up to them. Proof of cash is rarely asked for but it’s one of the three reasons why they can deny you entry.

Completely wrong. Any immigration officer can ask you to show 20k in cash ( baht or equivalent) it has nothing to do with being ASEAN.

Very rarely will they do so but if they do it needs to be cash. A credit card or bank statement won’t suffice.

Fly out somewhere. Fly back next plane. Not an issue. If you use a land border you might be able to bounce in 20 minutes or less.

If you qualify for visa exempt then there is little point in getting a TR. it may offer a slightly easier entry but offers no guarantees.

You apply at an embassy or consulate outside of Thailand. You need to be in that country to apply.
