TLDR : Answer Summary
The user applied for a Thai tourist visa, which has been pending approval for over a week without any updates. Community responses suggest checking the embassy's processing times, looking in the junk email folder for any correspondence, and being patient as approval times can vary.

When is your departure, many Embassies proces according to the departuredate, not the day applyed.

Have you read the website of the Thai Embassy, that's where information is to be found about expected processing time.

Thanks to the behavior of your countrymen you may expect a thoroughly investigation before being allowed to enter Thailand if allowed at all.

December 2022. With US passport at the Seoul Thai embassy mine was pending for 3 weeks. No contact or information for all that time. They probably only have 1 person who is proficient in English.

It normally takes 10-15 days to be processed, at least in my home country.

Check your junk folder, I have been caught out before.

She might need a tourist visa because she's probably from one of the 102 (out of 195) other countries in the world...? 😏😎

Ok. Without knowing your nationality or the embassy/consulate you applied via no one can really advise.

It doesn't look an easy task for you. It seems you have to do more than most other visitors. Just looking it up it says "To enter Thailand from Nigeria, you will need a visa, which means Nigerian citizens must apply for a visa before traveling to Thailand as they are not eligible for visa-free entry; this visa application typically requires a passport valid for at least 6 months, a clearance certificate from the Nigerian NDLEA (National Drug Law Enforcement Agency), and may necessitate an interview at the Thai embassy depending on the circumstances". Maybe you missed something out but wish you good luck
