Hello everyone. I'm 3 weeks in to my first ever visit to Thailand and really like it here. I want to get the DTV and spend more time here. I want to get the soft power visa. Maybe take Muy Thai or some other sport / course.

I've seen a few people online talking about various embassies being faster about processing DTV applications than others, Jakarta and Taipei for instance.

Does anyone have any experience with embassies that process quickly in SE Asia? What about Cambodia?

Also, can anyone point me toward sports and/or martial arts class providers that would qualify for the soft power DTV?

How soon before travel should I apply for DTV???

I applied for DTV from the embassy in KotaBharu Malaysia and it has not been approved since January 12. I have been calling the embassy for the last 3 days and they give me the same answer every day "It will be approved today" Now I want to go back to Thailand. Has this happened to anyone before?

How long will it take to get approved after submitting the further requested documents ?

12 Days and no word...still "processing"...is it because of the holidays? Anyone else experiencing delays?

Quick update: as I heard , the embassy in hcmc vietnam takes quite long. Since everyone is now rushing to this embassy because they think it's faster. So now It's been 6 or 7 days now and some people still haven't got their dtv. Just to let you guys know. Maybe Taiwan or Jakarta will be quicker now.

Chat GPT says 3-7 days, but a friend told me more like 3-4 weeks

I feel like I'm getting rejected...Has anyone waited 10 working days ? It is still pending document check.
