@Nongnuch *******
He got a reminder email which indicates he’s already done at least one online report.

Well yes. Ranong is the port where you get the speedboat to Myanmar. Kawthoung is the name of the place in Myanmar that the boat goes to.

You can try to DIY with a long tail boat but the way easier option is taking the speedboat from the Grand Andaman hotel for an all inclusive fee (which includes the speedboat, fees on the other side and return).

Seen some reports of it being accepted after the 7 days prior. Like anything here probably office dependent.

Ok. I thought so. As you’ve had a reminder email you must have done one online before.

With the online system you can file again with a window of 14-7 days prior to it being due. Some offices (it gets routed to your office) may allow up until due date but seeing many reports of not being the case.

When is your due date? Not the date to apply but the due date. If it’s between 14-7 days out apply online and see what happens. If it gets rejected for whatever reason at least you have 7 days after due date to apply in person.

Are you referring to 90 day reporting (rather than extending a visa)?

Non O visa does not require insurance but does require 800k in a Thai bank (for most nationalities).

DTV soft power option (a glorified tourist visa) would give you a 5 year visa and you’d get 180 days per entry

That’s not going to happen. You need 3m in a Thai bank account.

The only embassy in the world that issues those with local bank funds is Sydney. Not an option for a US citizen without residency status.

@Simon ******
That’s no guarantee of an entry. If an officer feels you’re trying to “buck the system” of free entry stamps or tourist visas they’ll deny you entry anyway.

Granted having a visa over visa exempt will be less likely for a denial but it’s not a guarantee.

No one can say for sure as it’s up to the specific immigration officer you hand your passport to.

Your previous entries don’t seem to show an issue that “you could be working here illegally” - which is the red flag that catches many, but 3 times in 3 months is anyone’s guess.

My guess (and it is just that) is that if you have an officer having a bad hair day they may pull you aside and question you but there’s not enough history to really warrant a denial and they may well caution you to get a visa for your next visit.

Reality is you may have an officer that doesn’t give a toss and will stamp you in, or your may get an officer who’s past having a bad hair day and in full meltdown mode and deny you.

Chances of the latter are slim, but a safe entry service would mitigate that.

If I were in your shoes I’d let it fly and see what comes up. But that’s just my opinion. If you’re worried go for the service and don’t fret about entry.

Alternatively apply for a DTV through Manila while you’re there and have a 5 year multiple entry visa. Obviously conditions apply.

Only fill in the fields with a red asterisk. All others are not needed. Don’t even click in them otherwise they will become “required”.
