Hi is it possible to apply for a one year extension for an Non O A retirement visa in an immigration office other than the one where you have your residence
Just to let others know if you didn't already know, ref you Retirement visa stamp or other stamps and the 90 day report.
I got my retirement visa stamped in my passport dated 2nd July 25 ok. Put the small bit of paper they give you to tell you your next 90 day report was dated 19th May 25. Now this confused me as I thought the stamp in my passport was the time the 90 days would start from (Wrong) it's the small bit of paper that was dated 29th May that the 90 days works on. They told me you need to go by this date and not your visa stamp. So as you can see my next online report now is the 16th Nov.
Hope this helps anyone out as it was a bit confusing for me.
Hi. I am on a non O retirement visa with the 800000 baht option and my wife is in a non O retirement visa with 65000 monthly deposit. We live in Chiang Mai and both bank with Bangkok Bank. We are considering a move to Hua Hin but have read that this can create many issues around visa renewal and providing evidence from the bank for accepted time allowances for seasoning if we move to Bangkok Bank in Hua Hin. Is it best to move mid visa or at renewal time. Any advice most welcome Cheers
Hi all, I'm here from Australia on a multiple entry visa which means i can stay for six months but have to leave every 2 months. As my plan is to stay for a total of 5 months, does anyone know if at 4 months I can go to an immigration office and request a 1 month extension rather than do a border run?
Hello! Can I do my 90 day report anywhere or does it have to be in the province I'm staying? I ask because I need to go to a hospital in a different province and would be ideal if I could do the report there. Many thanks 😊
Ok. So as you all know immigration offices are closed until Thursday 17th. For many offices they will be absolutely chaotic on Thursday. If you can avoid going to immigration on that day then please do so.
If your entry stamp or extension finishes between now and then, then go on the 17th and be prepared to wait for a long time. You won’t be fined because of closure but will get an overstay stamp.
Friday will probably be crazy too because of the fallout of the 5 day closure.
Going to immigration early is usually a good idea for most extensions but this week if you really don’t need to go then just don’t.
If your extension or entry stamp is after the 20th then just do everyone a favour and avoid immigration.
I have no idea on the policies for all the immigration offices, but you may well find that some will turn you away if you don’t need immediate services.
There are two additional forms, besides the TM7, that need to be filled out for a 30 day extension.
One is an acknowledgment of the overstay penalty and the other one I can’t remember. Does any one have pdfs of the two forms, or possibly a link to download?
