I’m planning to move to Bangkok in January. Is the Thai Privilege Card worth purchasing as a visa? Or would i be better off just doing the DTV and renewing after 5 years?

I apologize for asking a question that has likely been posted many times before but can somebody briefly explain why a one-year non O retirement visa with multiple entry is better than a five-year DTV? Are you more scrutinized and/or more closely observed if you get a DTV? I’m still not certain of this. Thank you.

But i am checking the news that LTR visa is getting easy.

Does anyone know if we get LTR visa straight for 10 years or its renewable after 5 years?

And for DTV there is no taxes.

But for do we have taxes?

Trying to find out if LTR is better then DTV.

Oh dear me. There is a shock. You cannot work in Thailand, even remotely, on an Elite Visa. Pretty much redundant with DTV. Unless I am missing something.[members only]

Hey guys, I was wondering what are the pros and cons of a dtv vs a marriage visa? We are planning to get married regardless so is it even worth a me going down the dtv route?

It looks like DTV is worth considering as an alternative long-term visa that can be renewed every 180 days (or 6 months) and its requirements seem easier than retirement visa to meet - do you think so?

Hi. Does anyone have any recent experience of living in the Philippines and came make some positive/negative comparisons to living in the Thailand? How do costs and standards of living compare? I’m quite interested in areas outside of the main cities. I’m actually in Bohol, Philippines and considering a move to Thailand
