Marriage visa (multiple entry) vs. retirement (Non-OA, multiple entry) visa: which one is better? My husband qualifies for both. He currently has a retirement (Non-OA) visa and needs to either extend it for another year or switch completely to a marriage visa.

It seems that for those that qualify based on the passive income requirement, the LTR is an easier option for a long stay. Is there an advantage by going the non o to oa route over the ltr?

I'm trying to decide between applying for a DTV or an ED visa. Anyone have experience with either? What are the pros and cons?

Hi all,

Apologies if this has already been answered but I couldn't find it.

I'm 51 and moving to Thailand in January with my wife who is under 50.

Both would qualify for the DTV visa but I can obviously qualify for the 'Retirement' visa.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a site/ document etc which compares these visas and or offers alternatives if there are any.

Thanks in advance for the information.
