DTV Cooking - Approved in Vientiane Laos!

Timeline:

* Landed April 8 Wednesday afternoon, uploaded final docs (visa stamp in passport and visa) and submitted online

* April 9 Thursday - Went to Vientiane Laos embassy at 9am, paid 10,000 THB in person

* April 10 Friday - Nothing

* Songkran Holiday 13 Monday to 15 Wednesday

* 15 Wednesday - Got an email for interview

* 22 Wednesday 10am - Interview. Where is your cooking school? Where will you stay nearby the school (show hotel booking, can book and cancel if needed)? Open your banking app -- BE AWARE they scroll through it and click on it themselves, so no hiding anything or deceit. What will do you after your course is finished (take another course)?

* 22 Wednesday 12pm - DTV sent in my email! Printed out at my guesthouse

* 23 Thursday - Flight to Don Mueng Airport, showed them the DTV paper, I looked in my passport to make sure they stamp correctly. Took less than 30 seconds with the immigration agent (go to one with a man, they go fast and don't ask questions).

Cooking course: Bangkok Thai Cooking Academy They were soooo helpful, fast, responsive. If you get rejected for DTV, they give partial refund.

Agent: Yes, I did use an agent. I used an agent that has a full money-back guarantee, INCLUDING the Visa fee. Message me for their details.

Good morning all.

Quick question, we are moving over in August and im upto date on getting bank account no problem. I read today that for your extension that they need a rental agreement for 6 or 12 months to apply for there extension.

We are having a house built and are only renting for 4 months? Hopefully if it's finished on time. The person who wrote it did not say from what visa he's extension was for.

Mine will be from NonO married.

Will 4 months rental be okay or will my house build contract be okay.

I understand each IO will make there own decision. I will be doing this in Hui Hin.

Thanks

Today I had an interview in Jakarta. I flew from Bali to Jakarta, and I don’t know yet if I will be approved. I have already shown my monthly income as a digital nomad, my business certificate in Bali, and some of my passive income in Bali. I have been renting a condo in Bangkok for one year, and even though I am currently in Indonesia, I still pay 22,000 Baht per month.

I didn’t know about the DTV visa before. I had been in Bangkok for one month in December, then returned in January. Immigration told me that if I didn’t get the visa, I wouldn’t be allowed to enter Bangkok again.

I have a business in Bali and I always circulate my money. But during the interview, they focused only on the 300,000 Baht I had in January. They seemed not to consider the 800,000 Baht I had over the last six months. Then they asked me to open my accounts. I didn’t expect them to focus so much on the 500,000 Baht. I only showed two accounts, not including my savings. I don’t understand why they are like this.

Now I’m just waiting for the result. I feel quite sad because I don’t understand why they focus on the 500,000 Baht from January. I applied in March with three accounts, totaling 500,000 Baht.

I still don’t know whether I will be approved or not

I am applying for DTV remote workcation in Ho Chi Minh on March 7.

I meet the financial requirements, I have a remote job but I haven't begun yet so I cannot prove income and Ive been traveling for 4 months so there is no other income to provide. I can provide all information about the job, business, salary etc. and my boss is willing to produce any necessary documents. The website doesn't mention needing to submit proof of income but it seems many people are asked to. If I clearly explain start date, salary, position, business etc. is that enough?

Hi all

We have booked flights to Thailand on February 21. Family of four from Australia

. I am starting a remote sales job on March 3! I thought I could work remotely on the education visa… But I’ve just found out I can only do DTV!

Should I apply now and then to activate it fly out of thailand and come back in? What if I’m denied?

Does anyone work on the education Visa remotely?

Hi there! I applied for the DTV as Spanish citizen on December 30. On January 15 I got requested more documents. Today January 26 I was about to answer.

Some of the docs they request, like bank statements for last 3 months, I had already provided them initially to my application. Or "a concise overview of your professional activities during your stay in Thailand".

I already provided a cover letter explaining all (Remote Software Engineer).

I will upload same docs again.

BUT additionally, they request me the flight ticket to Thailand, which I didn't buy it yet because before purchasing any flight I wanted to have the DTV accepted. Only then spend more money in a flight.

WHAT should I do in this case? What do I attach? I ignore it? I attach a short letter telling that I will purchase the flight once my DTV is granted?

P.S. It's not even clear to me when I will move to Thailand. If I get the Visa granted, I plan to go before June, but in my application I put end of February. If they deny my DTV (though they shouldn't as I meet the requirements), I'm not buying a flight for the moment.
