Hi, will I be accepted on my partners DTV if we are engaged and have children together? I’m getting mixed messages about this. We have been together for 10 years and have children, bought a house together etc.
Or is it strictly only accepted as a dependent on his visa if we are officially married? Thank you
Hi All, we are currently in Ho Chi Minh about to apply for our DTV. My fiance is applying with me as a defacto however it's asking for a copy of the marriage licence? Do we have to be married for me to be added as a defacto on Her visa? Thanks!
I am 53 and planning to move with my fiancé to Hua Hin from the USA in March 2026. Originally we were advised to wait until then because he turns 50 on Feb 28, that we should enter on tourist visas and apply for the non-O when we get there, and that we shouldn’t worry about being married or not.
But now, I’ve been told that we should get married and apply for the non-O before he turns 50 because he would qualify as my dependent. (I still am not sure about when/where to apply for the visa.)
Hi is it possible to go on a DSV visa and apply for it with my cohabitant/ girlfriend. We are both from Sweden and need to know if we can use our shared savings to apply for it? Or do we both need 500.000 baht each?
Here is a good question/situation. I am over 50, my future wife is under 50. How can "we" qualify for an O or any other retirement visa? Let's say we can each put $800K in an account. I know I can qualify but shes not 40, never mind 50 yet.
Hi, I am going to start a new job in November and will be moving from Germany to Bangkok. Now the company is taking care of my visa and work permit, but they say in order to get a visa (Non-O I believe) for my German partner we would need to be married. Is that true? Can my partner not get a visa as a dependant on me?
Does anyone knows a hospital in Bangkok for physical examination/pregnancy test as a requirement before getting married in Thailand? (my divorced is less than a year)
Which hospital? When is the best time to visit and how long to get the result/certificate? How much it cost?
Please advice as I can't find answer. Planning to come by mid March.
