If she's outside Thailand she needs an O visa as your dependent. This can then be converted to an Extension in Thailand.

Just open a new Bangkok Bank account in Bangkok. You can have two branch accounts on one mobile/online banking account.

 To have been able to legally marry in Thailand you would have needed an Affirmation of Freedom to Marry from your Embassy

As long as the marriage was registered at a Thai Amphur and a certificate issued, the marriage is recognised and legal in the US. However, just a "Thai wedding" in the village is not.
