Which section at Chaengwattana is for transferring an Extension to a new passport? Hopefully not the dreaded N section! I was planning to go on Wednesday, the day after the Public Holiday but won't be able to get there until around 2.30pm. Is this asking for trouble?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The section for transferring an Extension to a new passport at Chaengwattana is the same section where you originally obtained your extension. If your extension was issued in section N, you will need to return there for the transfer. If you're concerned about timing, it may be better to wait until November 8th when you plan to renew your annual Extension, as you may be able to manage both the transfer and renewals in one visit.

Ah, thanks. In that case I might be better off waiting until 8 November when I will be going to renew my annual Extension (plus my wife and son's)? Will I get one queue ticket ('N') for the transfer and the Extension renewals?

Unfortunately you go to the section where you get your extension, so IF you got your extension in section N that's where you go to transfer your stamps :/
