Hello,

This is my first time applying for an Ed visa in Thailand. I am currently on a 30 day tourist visa. Can anyone please tell me how to find out if a self-defense school is government approved and accepted for Ed Visa? I found a school in my area that seems great but they require the full years tuition up front. I really don't want to make a mistake with the Ed Visa because I don't want to be banned for 5 years.

This is the school........

Can anyone give me feedback on it or have had experience with them?

Hello everyone ..

I am an Egyptian citizen currently on a student visa in thailand that ends on september .. so i went to another school to get a different course visa and everything is fine so far on their side as im applying now to skip the 45 days ministry of education time .. but to get the new visa i have to leave thailand and in malaysia they told me i need to wait there also for 45 days to get the ministry of foreign affairs approval

My country isnt exempted from visa in thailand so i need to get a sticker on my passport before getting here unlike other countries that dont need a visa to thailand they can just get their visa done in malaysia in a few days .

Does anyone know a way to get this done without having to fly back to Egypt "long distance" specially from non visa free nationalities? Or is it possible to get foreign affairs approval while in thailand?

I need help - currently started working at a school in Bangkok. The process for legalising documents {degrees} was delayed and now I am worried my wife won't be able to stay under my visa when I do receive. Do schools or the ministry of education endorse spousal visas?

Does anyone know if it’s possible to obtain an education and guardian visa for a child in nursery, when the nursery is separate from school and therefore not registered with the Ministry of Education (I think it’s with the Ministry of Social Affairs or something). Thanks in advance 🙏

I talked with sandee thai language school and they said the Ministry of education recently restarted reissuing visa letters, in which they ultimately stated consult the embassy which i cannot for the life of me can get ahold of email or phone-wise. What i understood is you could still get a ed-visa prior/during the pandemic by being accepted to a university course. I have confirmation that the thai embassy is currently issuing ed-visas for the stamford university english program 3 month course. I’m looking at two thai language courses below.

[members only]/ ->not sure if this is a legitimate school

[members only]/ -> university but currently online courses

My question is has anybody successfully gotten an ed-visa with the chulalongkorn univ ctfl class or sandee school in the past few months during the pandemic? Or has anybody gotten any ed-visa from any school where they have successful been issued an ed-visa to enter thailand currently?

Thanks

Hey guys, I'm needing some advice please. I am currently in Vientiane to apply for my first education visa to study Thai language, as I handed in my paperwork I was immediately refused. The officer said that the paperwork was wrong and it can't have beginner and intermediate written on it. I called my school and they said they can send me the correct paperwork within one week and told me to go to Savannakhet to apply for the visa there. I'm just wanted to check if there is anything different in regards to the visa application from Vientiane and Savannakhet?

I'm an American passport holder.

A while ago I saw some software dev/coding bootcamps that were trying to see if they could become approved for offering educational visas. Does anyone know if the Ministry ever approved them? Haven't been able to find more info so I'm assuming it didn't work out but thought I'd check! Thanks!

I'm due to extend my ED visa by May 31. As of today, my school has not received my paperwork back from the Ministry of Education. If it's not processed in time, what are my options? Can I pay an overstay fine and keep my visa valid? Should I still go to Chiang Mai immigration by May 31 and explain the situation without the documents? Even though this isn't my fault immigration won't care about that, right? Just trying to be prepared for worst case scenario.
