2 years ago when I moved to a new permanent address in Bangkok I mailed a TM28 and received the receipt back. This was before TM30 reporting was being enforced. Next week we are moving again. Am I right in thinking that Chaengwattana no longer require a TM28; just a new TM30? Or should I do both?

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you're moving to a new address in Bangkok, the current requirement is to file only the TM30 form. The TM28 is no longer necessary for reporting address changes, according to some contributors. It's advisable to confirm this when submitting the TM30 at the relevant authority.
I believe you just file the TM30, and that serves as proof you changed addresses.. BUT I'm not 100% sure. I'd say when you go file the TM30 ask them.. Sorry.. :(
Cheers. My landlord has insisted on filing the TM30 herself, so if a TM28 is immaterial, I'll leave it that. I have no plans to visit Immigration again until our Extensions are up for renewal in November 2020!
