Not yet! Decided against going to CW or risk trying to get one at Lad Prao. They will have to get them at the airport.

Sorry for the basic question, but when do you need a reentry permit?

I'm going on my first multiple entry visum this year and plan to make a border run.

if you are going to come in on a mulit-entry visa you won't need a re-entry permit because it's built into the visa.

Most land border crossings have an office that sells re-entry permits not too far from the border.

Also you could most likely get into the gov't complex today, it's just gonna have high security and terrible traffic

There's certainly an immigration office in Ubon Ratchathani she could stop at on the way to the border'

Why don't you try the Online re-entry permit booking program for Chaengwattana?

I used it a while back with a friend, we made the appointment for 10:30, showed up turned in the paperwork and had the re-entry permit 10 minutes later.

At least see if you can get it to work.

I can confirm that they won't sell re-entry permits to people who are Cambodian, Lao or Burmese at Lad Prao.

Or what I can say is they wouldn't sell one to an american friend I was out there with doing a 90 day report.

If someone got a re-entry permit from Lad Prao post an image of it. ;)

You can get it at either airport in Bangkok and at Chaengwattana

Thanks. My Lao wife is here as my dependent as is my British son. They have to rush back to Laos for a family funeral and may have to cross the border by bus. I was planning to go to CW today for their re-entry permits but some are advising against this due to the Yingluck verdict. Looks like I'm stuck if I can't get them at Lad Prao.

You can get a re-entry permit at any immigration office, there are no restrictions relating to where you live.
