For once I disagree with you. The DTV visa is available for those who wish may apply for it.

We both have said many times in advising Thai Visa groups to Get the Correct Thai Visa.

The DTV visa is a correct and legal Thai Visa.

The real target 🎯 market for the DTV visa are the many millions of Digital Nomads in the World... seeking to draw them to Thailand. That's a huge economic benefit to Thailand.

The addition of the soft power activity is a surprising addition... and its future remains to be seen in the months and years ahead.

Frankly speaking Taiwan is not the friendliest place to get the DTV visa. And add to it your wanting a 5 years DTV visa for your personal investing in the stock market.
