Is it easier to apply for a dtv visa in Vietnam?

Is it usually easier for Vietnam to apply for DTV than other countries around Thailand? Some friends and I successfully applied in Vietnam, but we haven't tried to apply in other countries yet.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around the ease of applying for a DTV visa in Vietnam compared to other countries. One user shared their successful experience in applying for the DTV visa in Ho Chi Minh City, noting a quick turnaround time of seven working days. They also mentioned that applying in Laos is more time-consuming and requires in-person payments at the embassy. Others in the discussion emphasized that the application process remains consistent regardless of location, and it's advisable to apply online through the Thai Embassy in one’s home country when possible.

If possible, It’s better to apply online at the Thai Embassy in your home country.

However, I did successfully get my DTV in Vietnam HCMC. Workcation, 7 working days, from submitting the application, submitting additional required documents, and approval.

I understand that to Apply on Lao PDR is a much longer process, and you can’t pay online. You still have to go to the Thai embassy to pay the fees !
