To be honest, most embassies are the same requirements, as long as nothing is dogey with your paperwork and you don't plan to go in the next say 2 or 3 weeks. Any embassy is fine.

If possible, It’s better to apply online at the Thai Embassy in your home country.

However, I did successfully get my DTV in Vietnam HCMC. Workcation, 7 working days, from submitting the application, submitting additional required documents, and approval.

I understand that to Apply on Lao PDR is a much longer process, and you can’t pay online. You still have to go to the Thai embassy to pay the fees !

My motherland is China. I applied for a job dtv before. This time I want to apply for a dtv visa for my son. I am currently living in Thailand. As far as I know, it is very difficult to apply for dtv in China, the review is very strict, and the time is also very long.
