Richard Barrow reports...

"If you are arriving in Thailand on 1 May, you can now submit your digital arrival card (tdac.immigration.go.th). You can complete it on your smartphone even while waiting in the immigration queue. No smartphone? No problem. Use one of the TDAC kiosks provided at the airport."

TLDR : Answer Summary
Richard Barrow has reported that travelers arriving in Thailand starting May 1 can submit their Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online via their smartphone or at airport kiosks, making the immigration process smoother. Several comments raise important questions about using a Thai versus home address when applying, handling return flight information when on a DTV, and utilizing kiosks effectively upon arrival. It's noted that these kiosks are primarily available at airports, and travelers should ideally complete the card before arriving to avoid long lines.

Should you use a Thai address, keep in mind:

***choosing Thailand you don’t search under “T” but under “K” – “Kingdom of Thailand”

*** when entering the Thai address, you need to know its format: Street, Province, District, Sub-District

I noticed that it asks for a return flight information but of course on a DTV you’re not likely to have a return flight booked - will this cause an issue?

yes it's at the Airport in the arrivals area. However it's Best to do it before you land as these likely will be crowded with long lines waiting to use them.

There is free wifi at the airport, you can do it there. But you have 3 days to do it, why wait until you're at the airport?

It doesn't matter. No one checks this, it's all automated. Put whichever you want.

Not at land borders though. These kiosks will probably only be available at airports. Thus for land arrivals, complete your card at your hotel before heading to the border or if you must, on your laptop or phone while at the border.
