Im planning my first visa run to vientiane, what would be the things i need to consider?
Do i need to make an appointment in advance, do i just go to the consulate in Vientiane, or how does it work? what are the documents i need to apply for a tourist visa?
Quick note, i cannot get thai visa on arrival so please consider that
I have a relatively simple query: I am a South African living in Chiang Mai, currently on a non b visa (teacher). My contract at my current school ends soon, but my new school will take approximately two months to process my paperwork for my new visa and work permit. Where would be the cheapest, and easiest place for me to leave Thailand and return to get a visa waiver? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I've seen some reports saying that the 500k THB must be in the account continuously for the preceeding three months.
Can anyone confirm or contradict this? I'm planning to transfer money into the account just before applying, since it's currently spread over several accounts.
Hi. I a uk citizen and arrived here on a 60 day exemption from Philippines. I extended this for 30 day in Chiang Mai.
The extra 30 days will expire soon and my thinking is to go to Laos via Nong Khai then return to be able to extend my stay?
Can I return via the same land border and get another 60 day visa exemption stamp? If so, can I do this on the same day? Or do I need to go to the Thai embassy in Vientiane to get a tourist visa for Thailand? Alternatively, if I fly back to Bangkok from Laos, will I get another 60 day visa exemption?
Any clarity on this much appreciated.
Apologies if this a repeated question. I've read a lot of contrasting information on this and am pretty confused. It also sounds like the rules may have been changed recently.
