Yesterday I was criticized by a forum member for offering what he considered to be wrong information about the DTV Visa COURSE of Study offered by...the seminar:

[members only]/

It appears that he has deleted his multiple critical remarks and blocked me for giving correct information. Not a problem for me. I wish him success in whatever he is doing.

I said in my reply to another forum member, that I believed that the course sponsor will make a refund of 80% of the course fee if your DTV visa application was DENIED.

I contacted the COURSE SPONSOR and they promptly replied in email to me:

"Hello James,

for acceptance of soft-power activities we always recommend to Check with your local Thai Embassy.

Acceptance of soft-power activity is at the sole discretion of the consul in charge of the Thai Embassy. We have no impact on that decision (We are not a visa agency or associated with one).

We have several countries globally where our participants were succesful.

If someone is interested, it is always advised to just contact us directly, as things are quite dynamic.

E.g. You mentioned Phnom Penh. No issues for many months, suddenly a few participants rejected and last week approved again.

Does it make sense? Not to us πŸ˜…

We currently Offer a 80% refund of the seminar price, in case of soft-power rejection.

(Need proof of rejection, that seminar is not Accepted)

Best regards

DiscoverThaiNature Team"

I also recommend anyone interested in this DTV Visa option... CONTACT THE COURSE SPONSOR TO GET THEIR UPDATED INFO ON WHERE THERE STUDENTS ARE GETTING THE DTV VISA APPLICATION APPROVED.

Hopefully this is helpful information for you ☺️

My 21 yr old daughter was approved with this company in Washington DC. For financials she showed her 500k in her bank account and my sponsorship letter. I have the remote worker DTV.

Will a Thai Embassy indicate their approval of a soft power or medical prior to actual visa submission?

Like via an email inquiry?

Will do, I imagine they will request traditional bank docs over my brokerage bank docs I provided. Wish I knew earlier. Thought it was the same, it's in cash, in a bank, debit card, routing and account numbers. But seen a few posts that make me think it's going to be a problem. I'm just hoping they give me a chance to submit the documents again before rejecting me.

Anonymous participant 941 sorry to hear that... did you contact the course for refund ? When we applied in Manila, they only asked for more bank statements and 1 extra document from the course , we provided the documents and then we got the visa approved .

and the course sponsor said that Phnom Penh had approved the course again last week... it's a mixed bag of decisions...but several approved, one denied and then one approved.

I was chatting with them and found them very reliable and honest. I went for a cheaper course and still got accepted, so it's a game of managing your embassy and the course providers...

@Ric *****
which course and embassy did you go with?

It's a combination that is unfortunately no longer available.

Sounds concerning.
