In recent days there have been reports of members ...with a visa entry history...planning to use the Thai Embassy in Cambodia to obtain an added Tourist Visa. In reply we have advised against going to Cambodia....this is why...as posted by a gent with a history of living in Thailand by uses of all kinds of visas, extensions and visa exempt entries.

Now his major concern will be...Will Thai Immigration admit him this day at DMK with his history.

We urge members to ask advice before trekking on your own.

Muppet. He states "This entire experience has been unpleasant since I never read any rules or stipulations we foreigners can be denied like this.".... Maybe he lives under a rock in CM?

Shit my Admitted to Stay date is near. No worries Thai Immigration will have mercy with me if I show the picture of the cat getting fed by my new girlfriend in the condo I bought. And if I show a second picture of the big car on the parking lot, ready to get me home I will get another Admitted to Stay stamp. Just listen once to an old grumpy man, who noticed and learned in life: Do NOT invest lots of money if you do NOT have a valid reason to stay in that country, they day you will be denied entry and LOSE your investments can come. First invest in a permit to stay.

The thing is it is NOT a bad consulate to deal with IF you don't have a history of living here on back-2-back visa exempt or tourist visa entries.

True they do have a high financial requirement for a tourist visa (1000USD in a bank account) AND they do take 3 days to get your passport back (turn it in one morning, pick it up two days later in the afternoon) butt that's about it.
