@Andrew ******
You’re missing the point that if you apply for a Non O visa based on being over 50 from the UK you don’t need insurance - nor the medical certificate and police check.

I have seen comments that there are agents out there that can help legalise the marriage certificate without the need to travel back to the US.

Otherwise yes you can leave and return visa exempt and (at most offices) convert to a in-country Non O based on being over 50.

@Andrew ******
There is no insurance requirement if you apply for a Non O visa from the UK. There is if you apply for the Non OA/OX.

Usually countries don’t keep old passports, but just clip the corner or similar to show it’s been cancelled.

Copy of her passport, yours and your driving licence then. Combine in to one file and upload.

How did you prove yours? If you’re in your home country a copy of the passport may well be enough.

Depends on your child’s passport. If their nationality requires a visa then they need their own to enter Thailand. It’s irrelevant what visa you may hold.

Media speculation at this point. It may happen. Possibly won’t.

Phuket requires a new TM30 filed even if you stay one night in a hotel or hospital in country (as well as every time you return to Thailand). They do at least have the drive up window so it doesn’t take too long in most cases.
