Hello, i wish to confirm if foreign bank statement can be used for a one year extension NON-O Marriage or only Thai bank account?
If not, and as i see bank statement are now required when applying for a Non-O 3 months, can the foreign bank account be used? In that case i plan to do it in Vientiane or HMC.
Hi everyone! I’m a bit confused about the new visa-exempt rules (60 days + 30-day extension), so I’d really appreciate your help.
I’m planning to stay in Thailand for about 90–97 days total, but during this period I will need to leave the country for a few days for international sports events.
My questions are:
1️⃣ If I leave Thailand before completing the first 60 days, and then come back, can I still apply for the +30-day extension later?
Or will immigration only give me the 7-day grace period after re-entry?
2️⃣ If I re-enter during the same 90–97-day overall window, does my time outside Thailand count toward the 90 days, or does the clock only count the days spent inside Thailand?
3️⃣ Basically:
– Can I leave once or twice within the 90–97-day allowance and still use the full 60+30 days?
– Or does leaving “interrupt” or reduce the extension?
I’ve watched several update videos, but the explanations weren’t fully clear on how exits and re-entries affect the new 60+30 system, so any firsthand experience or clarification would help a lot!
Hey folks! I've seen the recent visa info floating around from various sources, but one thing I've not seen verified is that land border visa runs are no longer allowed. I'm not sure which of the following is the case...
-With a DTV, you can leave by land for a week and come back by land (at the discretion of the visa officer) - yay or nay?
-With a tourist visa or visa waiver, you can leave by land for a week and come back by land (at the discretion of the visa officer) - yay or nay?
Or, is it that all visa classes MUST enter by air if they're coming back a few days or a week or two after leaving by land?
If anyone can link to an actual source that speaks to this, it would be great. Some border run companies said that land border run is no longer allowed, but the official announcements didn't say that, so it's unclear whether that particular part was a temporary measure or not. I'd love to see some sources (not just commenters, but actual sources ;)) that address this point. Thanks!
Hey all, my parents are flying to Thailand in a few days for a visit. Theyll be here for about 2.5 weeks and have a round trip ticket to show. Passport is israeli, they didnt get a visa, exempt entrance is the plan.
They were also here June 2025 for about 2.5 weeks
Will they be ok entering again? There’s been some changes recently and I’m not sure..
Anything else they need to have prepared to show besides flight tickets+digital entry form?
I have a non O visa 90 days and arrived in Thailand the 28 October, I am 67 and married to a Thai.
We planning to fly back to Norway at the end of April (max 6 months), therefore wonder is it the same if we go a couple of days to Laos by land and back an get 60 days and try to get more 30 days in the immigration or do we have to fly out of Thailand and do the same?
Just arrived with the dtv for a 6 month muay Thai course .. when I leave at the 180 days do I have to have a new course to come back in on or will I be able to just reenter as it is a multiple entry visa and also will they ask to see the 500k baht in your bank account ?
I read a comment that people who got an ED visa in the past are often rejected for DTV.
Is this true? For worcation DTV too?
Any reports from Hanoi embassy rejecting people with ED visas from years ago?
I'm a freelance and meet the DTV requirements but I was on ED visa going to Thai language classes during Covid, and had 2 METVs too, last one 2 years ago.
Wondering if it would be a waste of money and time to apply for DTV.
