There may be bullies on here (like any other Facebook group) but using an agent does cost. However you have to weigh up the fee they charge versus the direct cost to you of having 800k in a Thai bank giving you almost zero interest. It may work for you. It may work for others to use an agent.

Bali consulate now only deals in stuff for Thai nationals. They don’t deal with foreigners. Jakarta is the only option for Indonesia.

Then definitely the lady in the bank was wrong. That’s a Non O visa stamp valid for 90 days on entry.

Its not a problem as long as you can show 12x monthly transfers of over 65k. Irrelevant of what bank account, as long as it’s a Thai bank account in your name only.

Once you’ve been approved for the 65k per month method then there is no requirement to keep any funds in your account. As soon as the transfer hits your account you can spend it at will.

The requirement to keep the funds in the account was based on the 800k in the account method. A completely different scheme.

That’s fine. Some people set up a standing order to transfer X amount of whatever currency to send to their Thai account to equal close to 65k. Except sometimes it doesn’t quite cover it and even if it’s just a couple of baht short it won’t work for using the 65k method.

You used the word partner which suggests you’re not married yet. You’d need to do so before that option becomes available.

Alternatively look at the DTV visa and see if that would work for you (at least for the next couple of years or so).
