If you've lived here multiple years on the O-A extension and the 800k has been banked the whole time, is it necessary to show proof that it's been transferred internationally when applying for the non-O retirement visa?
First of all, DON’T get your visa in the States before you come. Come in on a stamped passport after having researched the requirements for a non-O “retirement” visa. Once here, you can set up whatever health care requirements you need without any health insurance requirements from immigration after you get your visa.
Having trouble getting mine to work from pc. Never had a problem before. Submit Step 1 and goes directly to pop-up “For more information reagarding..blahblah”. My report due the 18th so shouldn’t be too early. I’ll keep trying.
Google AA Insurance Hua Hin. They’ll set you up with the least expensive coverage (if that’s what you want) and date it to start just before your extension application to maximize the coverage period. I’m wondering if the miscommunication here revolves around the meaning of the word “use”. There are indeed some US companies whose coverage extends to Thailand, but for the purposes of visa extension, listen to Tod. Welcome to HH!
Yeah, that’s my plan. I was just curious about the amnesty working with my visa for a bounce. That would be preferable, if possible. But it seems likes it’s not.
