I thought I read somewhere that after receiving a visa, entry should take place within 90 days of issuance. Anyone know anything about this, and will there be any repercussions if my first entry is beyond the 90 days?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the entry requirements for a Non-Immigrant O-A visa issued for retirement. The general consensus is that the visa holder must enter Thailand before the 'valid until' date specified on their visa. Although there is a common belief regarding a 90-day limit post-issuance for initial entry, it is clarified that as long as the visa is valid, the holder can enter anytime before it expires. Participants shared insights about the specific rules applicable to different visa types, indicating that different visas come with different rules regarding entry dates and validity.

Daniel as you have an O-A visa it is valid for one full year from Date if Issue...you can enter Thailand anytime before the end of the visa validity date. Though the later you wait to enter, the first year is shortened
I’m not worried about losing days. I just want to know if it’s not a problem if your 1st entry is after 90 days since it was issued. I should clarify that the visa has a year validity.
