I was told today that Jomtien Immigration will accept renewal retirement extension applications up to 60 days before the expiry date.
Is anyone able to confirm this please.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus among the community is that Jomtien Immigration typically allows applications for retirement extension renewals only within 30 days of the expiry date. Some users mentioned experiences of being able to renew earlier but noted that those situations are exceptions rather than the norm. It is advised to either visit the office 30 days before expiry or confirm with them directly regarding any specific circumstances.

Okay, Jomtien is 100% 30 days or less when you apply for a retirement extension OR marriage extension. There is no wiggle room on it, they don't allow it done more days than that early until you're using an agent to "grease the wheels". So for people who push their own paper on a retirement extension at Jomtien know that it can be done when you have 30 days or less.
I can confirm this through bitter experience. I need to extend my Elite visa at Jomtien and the elite people told me 45 days before. On the strength of this advice I got the appointment booked for a few days time then booked a hotel in Kanchanaburi for a few nights as we're having a short holiday. Then I stumble over this post. Just emailed Elite and they have replied saying they made a mistake and as you say Jomtien is 30 days or less. Not the end of the world and I can cancel the hotel but what a pain in the ass. Thank god for Facebook (sometimes) 🤔

I tried 3 yrs ago 40 days before but was asked to come back when expiry is within 30 days. My reason was to go to dissertation session of my sister, that was not acceptable so I missed it. They might do if some very special reasons, but the only way to know whether they think is good enough reason is to go and ask.

Jomtien is the only immigration office that seems to make up the rules as they go along regarding the amount of time required remaining before an extension of stay can be requested. The only thing you can do is EITHER ask on a local Facebook group, or go 30 days before the due date with all the relevant papers.
I could go on ASEAN but that ios quiet these days. I was hoping that we had enough members from Chonburi that one may have had personal experience. The extra 30 days makes a huge difference to me for my holiday planning next year.
The extra 30 days shouldn't matter because the 30 day extension of stay based on tourism is ADDED ON to your existing "admitted to" stamp.
And ASEAN is the Association of SouthEast Asian Nations, which has NO influence on Thailand's visas. You can ask them, but they would have no idea what you're talking about.
I can see your comment triggering a "compliant session" about how that immigration office is ran, and I don't want this group to become a "venting" group.
