I wonder what's the difference between embassies that causes one embassy to decide on an application consistently in 5 days (Hanoi?) while another embassy usually takes 3 weeks. If the rate stays constant, it means the number of decisions completed versus the number of new applications submitted should be similar, so the volume of applicants isn't what is affecting the time? The embassy taking a longer time is maybe adding extra internal steps?

Hi

Quick question.

I am planning for DTV for me and my wife.

Can we apply at the same time proving my wife will be under dependent?

Or I apply first and once approved, apply for my wife??

How does this work?

Thanks for any answers in advance!

Just a heads up for anyone looking at going to Vientiane for visa runs etc, the Thailand embassy in Vientiane is closed from tomorrow for at least a week due to the elections.

Hi guys. I got a job offer and want to change my visa from tourist to Non- Immigrant B visa. How does the process look like? Can i just apply through thaievisa and leave the country once the visa is approved and reenter, or do i have to go out, apply at an embassy and come back? TIA.

Hello all, I'm german and I want to apply for a DTV.

Im in thailand right now on a 60 day stamp which runs out 2nd of January. Im planning to leave to another country then to apply for the DTV.

Im a freelancer for many years and work for 2 clients in Germany in the online marketing sector. My company is an american LLC.

The only issue I have is that I only have the 500k THB in my private account for a couple of days now. I had it in my business account (which is run under my company name, not my private name) from the beginning of this month, but not prior to that.

Is there any chance I can still apply for the DTV in January somewhere?

Thank so much ♥️

Hello! I have 3 bank statements. For my August and October bank statements I have over 500,000 baht but for my September bank statement I have 465,000baht. I’ll also have over 500,000 baht the day I apply do you know if that will qualify? Or will I need to wait 2 more months to apply so I’ll have 500,000 baht for October, November, and December? I’m applying for the soft power dtv. I already got my letter from the cooking class. I’m wanting to apply through Vietnam. Was planning flying into Vietnam on the 17th of November to apply. I’m open to apply in another country not far from Thailand if that embassy will be okay with the bank statements I currently have. Thank you!

Hi, Interview in Vientiane, the email says from 9:30 to 10:00.

Is that my slot? what happens if I go before? Maybe they let me in if there are few people or need to wait my time?

Also if it's very busy and can not enter at that time I need to go again the next day?

How it works? You go there and they give you like a number and call you?
