Does anyone have experience of the Jomtien office? I am aged over 60 and have a non O visa (issued in London) for single entry 90 days but can only stay for 56 days as I need to go back to London for some appointments. If I deposit the 800,000 funds in advance of arrival, and so have the funds on deposit for the necessary 2 months, what chance is there that the Jomtien office would accept an early application for a retirement extension after only 45-50 days after arrival.
However, since I currently plan to spend only 3-5 months per year in Thailand and never spend more than 60 days per visit, I think it will probably be simpler just to return on visa exemptions or another O visa when needed.
I'm currently way over 500,000 baht in bank account, but 2 months ago I was very slightly under. When I show my last 3 months bank statements, one of them is under. Has anyone been rejected for that? Should I just wait another month before I apply?
I'm new to this group, so sorry if this a frequently asked question.
I'm a UK national, 60 years old , living in Thailand for 9 years already, on the standard retirement visa.
My parents, both UK nationals, , 83 & 84 years old, want to come and live with me. They would return to Europe a couple of times a year, but would be essentially living here, at my house, say 10 months each year.
Do they each need to apply for a retirement visa independently of each other, meaning 800k each in 2 separate bank accounts, or is there an option for attaching one as the spouse of the other to a single retirement visa.
Or are there other options available, like a family visa, or something similar.
Just arrived with the dtv for a 6 month muay Thai course .. when I leave at the 180 days do I have to have a new course to come back in on or will I be able to just reenter as it is a multiple entry visa and also will they ask to see the 500k baht in your bank account ?
Hi, I will be applying for a 30 day extension on my Non O visa which expires in 3 days time. Just wanted to know if I will have to also show funds in my account again for approval. If so, how much?
Me again folks... I started from scratch and got it right this time. I will apply for a non-immigrant O visa. I'm already in Thailand, as I said yesterday, so I plan to go to Vietnam in a few weeks to send my application to the thai embassy in Hanoi.
According to what I just read, it can take between 3 to 15 days to get the visa. Is that accurate in most cases? If not, it makes it hard to plan a return date.
Also, in the requirements it says I need financial evidence showing monthly income of no less than 65,000 THB, which I have. But the canadian embassy does no longer give a certificate of income. The pension fund I have gave me an official letter stating how much money I get from them monthly. Is that good enough for the thai immigration or will I need a balance of 800,000 THB (e.g., bank statements for the last three months, sponsor letter)? Thanks again for your help, it's very appreciated.
How do I start the process of getting a retirement visa? I am a 55 yr old veteran ready to make the move. All serious help is welcome. Thank you in advance.
