TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the experiences of Australians applying for the DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) in Thailand. Several commenters share their successful applications, noting the process involved online submission, document verification, and the importance of submitting recent photos and financial statements. A commenter detailed their step-by-step experience, including timelines and specific documents required for approval. There was some initial confusion regarding the term 'DVT,' which is mistakenly associated with deep vein thrombosis, but it was clarified that the focus was on the visa application process.
Hopefully this can help someone, I will go through my process.
1. 11:00 pm 20th January Applied for Visa directly through the official [members only]/ website and selected the correct thai embassy for my local Australian region.
2. 10am 21st January "document check pending"
- I sent the same photo as my passport which is a few years old.
they asked for a more recent photo taken within the last 6 months.
Took a quick basic photo with my phone with a white backround.
3. 28th January Status moved to "Pending Approval"
4. 29th January Approved
I own my own Australian company and I am the sole owner.
* Provided a 1 page cover letter explaining what I do in my business and screenshots of business payments such as Stripe and affiliate marketing.
* Provided the official ASIC business company extract current and historical. This was $20 from the government website and outlines who owns the company, who are the shareholders etc.
* I asked my accountant to create me a 6 month income statement showing my earnings from this financial year July 01 2024 - December 31 2024.
* Bank statement showing 500,000 bhat equivalent, I transferred the final 400,000 bhat into my account only hours before applying and showed 3 months of official bank statements where basically the balance was always well below 500,000.

Yep I got it very recently, took about 10-12 days to get approved after applying. All done online, make sure you go to the right offical Thai website.

A deep vein thrombosis is not something you apply for.

Well lots have successfully applied for a DTV. I’m assuming that’s what you’re referring to.
What’s the remaining question.

Yes it can be done all online in Australia. Indeed it needs to be done in Australia (if that’s where you physically are). Sydney covers those residing in NSW. Canberra covers elsewhere.
