You don't need to show a re-entry permit when you leave Thailand. You show it to the immigration officer at passport control when you enter Thailand again.

Be sure to check your stamp before leaving the passport control desk if it has the same until-ate as your current extension.

, please make a new post if you want to ask about initial visa applications. I stop here, so that this post is about difference of financial requirements between visa and extension based on marriage to a Thai.

, (sorry, edited as I misread) the no not same those for an Non-O at the RTE/RTCG outside Thailand. Better to go to your local immigration office to get the latest requirement for a in-country visa.

This is a bit old general requirements from HQ. It may be able to give you rough idea. But the detailed ones are vary by immigration office. Also your nationalities could require additional documents.

It is possible if your wife, your wife's employer/school, and you meet all requirements for an in-country visa application. And if your local immigration office allows.

Your wife needs to talk to her school if they support your visa procedure, as you need support documents from her employer.

She has to be on 1-year extension when you apply for an in-country visa.

You have to have more than
*****
days remaining with your entry stamp as a tourist to be able to apply for an in-country visa.

There are far more requirements.

While let her talk with her school, go to the local immigration office for THEIR latest and detailed requirements for an application for an in-country Non-O visa based on a spouse to a teacher with a work permit. There might be different lists depending on the type of school (government, private, etc).

Yes, seasoning is for an extension.

When you want to stay longer with a visa/extension for being married to a Thai, and want to do inside Thailand, you will do:

1. Apply for an initial in-country visa that gives you 90 days stay

2. Apply for a 1-year extension that gives you up to one year

(then repeat 2 after year passes)

Then, about the banked money method,

For 1, you have to have funds of 400K baht in your Thai bank account

on the day of application. No seasoning is required.

For 2, you must have funds of 400K baht in your Thai bank account at least for 2 calendar months as of application day.

That is what you need to ask your local immigration office. Some accept bank letters up to 7 days old such as Bangkok, some offices accept letters dated only the day of application. Others are in-between.

For the transaction record, many accept those issued in advance (as some branch needs time to make a whole 1-year record), with your updated passbook on the day of application (<- that should have records after issuance of the 1-year transaction)

As you are on Non-O, You are going to go to Chaengwattana Immigration office, Government Complex Building B.

You will go here.

Submit application for WP and getting WP issued are different/separate procedures
