Immigration offices across Thailand will be closed on August 12, 2024, in observance of Queen Mother Sirikit's Birthday. Travelers are advised that land borders will remain open during this holiday. If your visa stamp is expiring during the closure, you will not be fined for overstaying if you visit the immigration office on the next working day; however, you will receive an overstay stamp indicating the days of overstay with a note that the fine is waived due to the holiday.
