Hi everyone.

What is the actual situation of the 90 days report online application? Do you recommend to do it?

I heard for months that it does not work and now that I have to do it for the first time I am afraid to try and if it doesn't work, make it more complicated to later do it again by visiting the inmigration office.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the online application process for the 90 Day Report in Thailand, with varied experiences shared by users. While some users recommend trying the online system due to its convenience and speed, others caution that it might not work for first-time filers or could face rejections. Users suggest attempting it 12-13 days before the due date to allow time for resubmission in person if necessary. There are mixed feelings about the reliability of the system, with some choosing to continue with in-person submissions for better assurance. Overall, the online application has been improving, but individuals are encouraged to weigh the pros and cons based on personal experiences.

I think you can do it 15 days before. It worked for me last time to do it exactly on the 15th day. Tried around 7 days before and got denied at that time for some reason.

Thank you all for all the comments, I got a good picture of how it is working.

It’s super easy online it literally takes less than 10min. (Incl. approval) if done during daytime.

Much less complicated that meeting up in person, and way faster!

If it's first time won't work and my online application been denied before. It worked when I did it on the 15th day before it actually expired.

@Chris******
Not true at all mine got approved first time online in 5-10 min. 😉 I’ve posted about this before in here!

hi - interesting - but what about the slip they say to keep in your passport when done online? Screen print or...?

you will get a receipt by "approved" email or can download from TM47 web system

Well considering I just screwed up and had to go to CW to do mine and I was 197 person in the queue and it took 5 hours compared to doing it myself online in only three minutes I think I would rather do it online myself.

I’ve never done it. Over a couple of years of seeing people have problems for one reason or another I’ve just never bothered. Sort of like having to go to
****
to pay water/electricity bills. I know done is done and I have proof in hand when it’s done.

Nothing wrong with online, I just don’t trust anything without absolute confirmation.

I have done every 90 day report online, it takes 2 minutes and you receive an electronic version of the same document you get at the IO, so you can print it. What's to lose trying online 12 or 13 days in advance of the due date?

I tried to do my online report and it was rejected not sure why, some people say I did it too late but it states on their website 15 days before and up to 7 days after I bone my one on the Friday 13th and due date was the ,9th.

What i read is that the online application is possible only between 15 days and 7 days before the due date. Then, between 7 days before the due date and 7 days after the due date is only possible to apply in person.

It won’t work online for your first report

I actually never used it in all my years here, I prefer to go in person show your face and they remember you after a while, it certainly has helped over the years, it makes them be more lenient in my opinion, but also depends on your office.

The online TM30 and TM47 systems were redone earlier in the year and are fairly reliable now.

The immigration office in Phuket Town has drive through and it takes 5 mins

Try to report online 12 or 13 days before the due date, but not less than 7 days. If they reject you, you still have time to do in-person before the due date. If they send you a new 90 day report date via email, you've saved yourself a trip to immigration.

@Wayne *******
you can also report in person up to 7 days after the due date without a penalty

@Graham *****
yup, that's true

There's no downside to trying an online application, best case it's approved, worst case it isn't and you just head on over to your local IO and do it in person. I believe there's something wrong with the system as I've been rejected for the last 4 reports even with multiple applications and over 2 weeks in advance, so I'm heading to the drive through in Chiang Mai on Monday.
Wannikea *********
@Rob ******
if you applied/submitted "over 2 weeks in advance" you will be automatically rejected.
Rob *******
@Wannikea ********
... I submitted 4 times from around 2 weeks down to 3 days before due date, this time and last time, rejected every time. I did online reporting many times before no problem then suddenly I started getting rejected so it's not like I'm a first time user.

@Rob ******
and what was the reason they rejected it? did you return from out of the country, do you have a current TM30 filed (the 90 day online and TM30 systems cross check addresses) did you stay some place else that filed a TM30 on you?

The first time you’ll always need to do it in person.

Yupp. First time or new passport only in person.
