My husband and I are flying to Cambodia next week where we plan to apply for the DTV online. Has anyone tried to apply online? How long did it take? We plan to spend a month in Siem Reap before going back to Bangkok.

On the DTV application the point of entry question I put entry is BKK, but my Muay Thai gym is in 8 hrs away closer to CNX Chiang Mai- would that be a problem? the paper that's given to you. Does it show which airport , as I would like to explore Bangkok first Area.

I appreciate your knowledge.

Hello,

I currently have a 60-day stamp that has been extended by 30 days, valid until February 7th. However, my girlfriend and I plan to travel to India from January 3rd to January 15th, and then return to Thailand from January 15th to January 30th to celebrate a holiday with friends.

Will we receive a new visa stamp upon re-entry, or are we allowed to leave and re-enter Thailand without issues?

After that, we plan to travel to New Zealand for a few weeks and then return to Thailand around mid-March for another three weeks. And leave the country to go to Vietnam.

Will this be a problem? Our nationalities are Dutch and British.

Thank you in advance!

I’m considering a retirement visa. Currently in Thailand on a 60 day stamp until Jan 18. I don’t really want to stay in Thailand more than 180 days a year and likely would want to enter and leave 3 - 4 times a year, but also usually leave and return during those stays for a holiday outside of Thailand with my gf. So far I’ve just been getting passport stamps. They have started to ask more questions and hesitate sometimes on the past few entries. I do have $800k in Bangkok Bank for several years. I’m staying with gf now in Tha Bunmi area of Chonburi. We got a TM - 30 filed recently. Unfortunately the address was entered 90 rather than 99 when they registered the place i’m staying. Staying with gf in a room she gets as manager of a factory. Asked them to try and fix the registration address. Flight out of Thailand Feb 17, so would file for a 30 day extension, or should I try to get a Non O retirement visa early next week at Jomtien? Maybe I won’t really be here long enough to get an actual 1 year retirement visa? Apply for a Non 0 the next time I come to thailand? I get more confused the more i read

Question for anyone who applied in HCMC (online), how many business days did it take? Did you travel to Vietnam on a one way and but a ticket back once you were approved?

I’m in TH now and want to apply in Vietnam in January. Looking at flights but not sure whether to book a one-way or return and if return, for how long.

TIA 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Do you have to enter a proposed entry date into the application because I will be applying for mine and if/when it's approved I'll then be apply for my Wife/Spouse DTV then we will both make plans for a date to fly in (from Australia).

Hi there, me and my partner want to leave Thailand and fly home on the 5th of December, once we extend out Visa however we will still be slightly short on days(90 day visa)

If we had proof of our flight booked home when we do our extension, do you think they would allow the additional days?

I believe it’s around 4/5.

Any help would be great

Advice Needed – Visa Situation

I applied for a DTV visa in Italy, unsure if it would be approved, but I had already booked my flight. So, I entered Thailand on a visa on arrival.

A week later, my DTV visa was approved.

Can I fly to a nearby country and re-enter Thailand from there?

Or do I need to fly back to Italy and return to Thailand from there?

Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! 🙏🏼

Maybe it helps someone. I applied for my DTV back home in Germany in Berlin. I submitted a bank statement (6 months), my registration of my company (Gewerbeanmeldung), my tax return and a short letter. I explained that I am a ghostwriter and find most of my clients on a platform. I included a screenshot of my profile and a table of my finished projects.

After four days I was asked for scans in good quality (no photos) from my passport, my picture and my registration certificate (Meldebescheinigung).

Two days after I flew to Georgetown and waited there and checked the status of the application daily. After nine working days I got my visa. Never received the email (some issues with my mail address), but downloaded and printed it from the website.

I changed my original travel plan. I wanted to go to Da Nang (the flight number I put into the application). Instead I took the train from Malaysia to Padang Besar. The officer looked at my visa, asked no questions and started counting. His biggest issue was to count the 180 days right. He took no fingerprints or a photo, just stamped my passport after awhile and gave it back to me with a smile.
