added a bit more information & one question.. Would anyone give me any info, please?
I'd like to ask some questions regarding WP. And I tried to search but no success. I apologize if this is not appropriate post here or I missed old posts.
Thank you for your help in advance.
1. If small Thai company (owned by Thai 100%) wanted to hire foreigner(s), company needs (only) 1M THB as capital for one foreigner with Non-O (Thai spouse) to be hired. 2M THB for one foreigner with Non-B. Is this correct?
2. Is there any additional requirement for Foreigner with Non-O (Thai spouse) to get WP with his visa other than requirements for foreigners with Non-B?
3. Is there any case he needs to change the type of visa?
My friend is quiting one company and going to work for his wife's company. He has Non-O (Thai spouse) and still has WP from his employer. He and his wife is planning to get his WP under her company.
His current WP will be expired in a few weeks after quitting.
4. Does he need to (or had better to) cancel WP from previous employer by himself, return to ex-employer or okay to leave it to get expired?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the requirements for a foreigner with a Non-O (Thai spouse) visa to obtain a work permit (WP) in Thailand, including capital and staffing requirements. It seeks clarification on whether there are different requirements compared to a Non-B visa and asks about changes in visa type. Additionally, it inquires about the process for a foreigner leaving one job to work for their spouse's company, particularly what to do with the old work permit before it expires.
