This might have been talked already... Or if not appropriate, please delete this post -> admin people.

I'm not sure how much Chaengwattana area maybe affected since it's afar from the Royal Palace. TAT said "should also be aware that in some areas transportation could be affected. "

- Royal Cremation is scheduled for 25-29 October, 2017. -

- Thursday, 26 October, will be the royal cremation day

TAT provide some other small advices (as usual).

TLDR : Answer Summary
The royal cremation of King Bhumibol Adulyadej in October 2017 is expected to impact transportation in certain areas of Bangkok, though the Chaengwattana area may experience less disruption compared to others. Government offices will be closed during the event, which could lead to atypical traffic patterns, potentially lighter traffic in some districts. However, there might still be congestion from visitors traveling from outside the city.

More to the point, government offices will be closed. Chaengwattana Road is not an artery to Rattanakosin, and as most people will not be working it's possible that traffic in Laksi might actually be lighter than usual, but that's an assumption on my part. It may become jammed with traffic from people coming from provinces Northwest of Bangkok.

Extra busy, I would imagine. I am glad that after tomorrow I have two months before I have to go again. For once the timing worked out in my favour.

Yes...

Government offices will be closed total three days (including weekend) of 5-day-ceremony... I don't know how it goes on other 2 days...
